Earthquake tremors in Kutch, Gujarat, people came out in fear, know the intensity

Gujarat Earthquake: Earthquake tremors were felt in Kutch, Gujarat on Monday. Its intensity was measured at 4 on the Richter scale. According to the National Center for Seismology, earthquake tremors were felt in Kutch at 8:18 pm. The epicenter of the earthquake was about 10 kilometers inside the ground. Its latitude: 23.81 North, longitude: 70.03 East.

Epicenter of the earthquake

Stronghold of earthquakes in Gujarat

Gujarat is considered to be a stronghold of earthquakes.  While on 26 January 2001, major earthquake struck in Kutch. In which more than 13,000 people died. An earthquake struck on October 17, 2024, at 3:54 am. The intensity of the earthquake was measured 4 on the Richter scale. Its epicentre was reported to be about 47 km north-east of Kutch Kek Khavda.
