India another big blow to Pakistan, now Pakistan films, web series are also banned

India has been continuously taking tough steps against Pakistan since the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam. On the night of 7 May, India attacked several terrorist bases in Pakistan through Operation Sindoor. Earlier, the Indian government had banned the social media accounts of all Pakistani celebrities in India. Now taking another tough step, it has been decided to ban all the content of the neighboring country as well. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued an advisory to OTT platforms and media streaming platforms, stating that from this time onwards, all types of content from Pakistan should be stopped from being shown in India.

What is in the ministry's advisory?

The ministry has said in its advisory, "Keeping in mind the national security, all OTT platforms, media streaming platforms and intermediaries are advised to

immediately stop the web series, movies, songs, podcasts and other streaming media content made in Pakistan, which are available through subscription or any other way.

Mention of Pahalgam attack

In the advisory, the government has also mentioned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. It has been said that links of Pakistan government and non-governmental elements have been found in many terrorist attacks in India. Recently on 22 April 2025, terrorists attacked in Pahalgam in which many Indians including a Nepali citizen were killed. Many people were also injured in this incident.

India attacked terrorist hideouts

In response to the Pahalgam attack, India fired missiles on 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan on the night of 7 May. About 100 people are reported to have been killed in this attack. At the same time, tension between the two countries has increased even more since the attack. The situation has increased. Pakistan tried to attack several cities of India, which was foiled by the Indian Army. India has also destroyed Pakistan's missile defense system.
