Joint Motor Cycle Rally By Indian Coast Guard
Indian Coast Guard Region North West conducts joint motorcycle rally in Gandhinagar to mark 50th Raising Day.
Headquarters, Indian Coast Guard Region (North-West) at Gandhinagar conducted a Grand Motor Cycle rally on 20 Feb 26. The Joint Motor Cycle rally was part of series of events being organised by the Headquarters and its units all over the region towards commemoration of 50th ICG Raising Day. The rally was flagged off by DIG PK Sharma, TM, Chief of Staff, CGRHQ(NW) at Swarnim Park Gandhinagar.
The Motor Cycle rally from the Headquarters to Pimplaj Village was cheered by local populace enroute with proud display of National Flag on the bikes thus arousing patriotic fervour. The rally also sensitised youth on importance of Coastal Security and ICG’s role and charter towards ensuring it. The spirited joint rally witnessed enthusiastic participation by Officers and personnel of the Indian Coast Guard, Indian Army, Gujarat ATS, Marine Police and Defence Security Corps.
A Health Awareness and Eye-Check up Camp was also organised at Pimplaj village enroute, in association with Tej Eye centre. The Camp included general medical check-ups, blood sugar testing, eye screening and ENT examinations, benefitting school children and villagers from local and nearby villages.
