India, Nepal agree to expedite water resources, sanitation and waste management
Today, MoU was signed to further strengthen cooperation in the Water, Sanitation and Waste Management (WASH) sector between India and Nepal
Under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi Sir, this MOU will promote technical cooperation, exchange of experiences and joint efforts in water conservation, sanitation and waste management between the two countries. Sharing experiences of initiatives like India's Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission, community-based solutions will be developed, which will help in addressing the challenges related to water and sanitation. This agreement is being considered a historic achievement in the field of water resource management and sanitation between the two countries. Given the cultural and historical ties between India and Nepal, this partnership is an important step towards making the lives of the citizens of both countries more comfortable, healthy and prosperous.

On this important occasion, Minister of Water Supply of Government of Nepal, Shri Pradeep Yadav Ji, Ambassador of India to Nepal, Shri Naveen Srivastava Ji, Ambassador of Nepal to India, Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma Ji, Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, Smt.
