Prime Minister Expresses Condolences After Tragic Road Accident in Uttar Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the recent road accident in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, "extremely painful." The accident occurred when a truck lost control and crashed into a tractor on GT Road at the Mirzamurad Kachhwa border.

Local Response

The Prime Minister noted that the local administration, with support from the state government, is doing everything possible to help the victims of the accident. Efforts are being made to assist those affected in any way they can. On October 3, the accident resulted in the deaths of ten laborers and left three others injured. According to reports, the tractor was on its way to Banaras from Bhadohi district and was carrying 13 people at the time of the crash.
