In this match, held at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, the Indian team got off to a strong start. Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma shared a 104-run partnership for the first wicket. This partnership ended when Smriti was dismissed. Smriti faced 58 balls and scored 45 runs, including eight fours. Smriti's wicket was taken by spinner Chloe Tryon.

She was caught by Sune Luus off Ayabonga Khaka. This was the best score of Shefali's ODI career. It was the first time Shefali had scored a fifty in an ODI after almost 3.5 years. Shefali didn't score a century, but she thoroughly entertained fans with her batting.

Shefali played a brilliant innings in the final

Shefali Verma is only 21 years old, but she has played three T20 World Cups and two ODI World Cups for the Indian women's team. She was the captain when India won the first Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. Shefali made her international debut for the Indian team as a teenager.
