A new model has entered the lifestyle pickup segment in India. Japanese car manufacturer Isuzu has launched a new, updated version of its popular pickup, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. This new avatar brings a more powerful design, features, and mechanical improvements. Notably, this pickup will now only be available with a 4x4 drivetrain, as the company has discontinued the 4x2 variant.

Equipped with attractive looks and a powerful engine, the new D-Max V-Cross is priced from ₹25.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-of-the-line model, going up to ₹30.28 lakh (ex-showroom). This car directly competes with the Toyota Hilux.

What's changed?

The overall shape of the new D-Max V-Cross remains the same, but some subtle and smart changes have been made. The front now features a bolder grille, with a black finish below it. The bumper has also received a new look, with less cladding and the fake skid plate removed. The side profile features new 18-inch alloy wheels. The black wheel arches and side cladding have been removed, giving the car a cleaner look.

Modern Cabin

The cabin is clearly a major upgrade inside. The previous 9-inch screen has been replaced by a larger 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. New contrast trims have been added to the dashboard and doors, making the cabin feel more premium. The top-spec Z Prestige variant also features a roof-mounted eight-speaker audio system.



The pickup is powered by the same 1.9-liter diesel engine, which produces 161 bhp and 360 Nm of torque. Customers will have the option of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Safety Features

The new V-Cross also features enhanced safety and convenience features. It now features a 360-degree camera and a tire pressure monitoring system, making it easier to drive both in everyday city driving and off-roading. With new features and a powerful 4x4 setup, this pickup offers customers a premium lifestyle SUV option.
