The wedding procession arrived on February 13, 2026, and rituals such as the "saat vachan" (seven vows) were completed smoothly overnight. Around 4 a.m. on February 14th, a group of transgender people (transgenders) arrived for traditional blessings and "neg" (gifts), and identified the 22-year-old groom as belonging to their community.

Things escalated. The bride's family also refused. Rishu, despite completing seven wedding vows, was unable to find a bride.
His transgender friends took him away

This revelation caused an uproar, and it was reported that the groom's family tried to bribe the transgender people with ₹23,000 to keep quiet.
The local police had to intervene, and ultimately, without a first information report (FIR), after the expenses were settled between the two families, the groom (baraat) returned without the bride.
