Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has once again proved India's strength to the world. DRDO successfully test-fired a very short-range air defence system from Chandipur, Odisha. The tests were conducted on February 28 and 29. According to information, two tests were conducted with ground-based portable launchers. DRDO in the a post on X said "Very Short Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS) missile was successfully tested against high speed unmanned aerial targets under different interception scenarios on 28th and 29th Feb 2024 off the coast of Odisha" https://twitter.com/DRDO_India/status/1763277395749212496 The Defense Ministry said both test flights met the mission objectives and were intercepted and destroyed by the missiles. Let us tell you that the missile is powered by a dual thrust solid motor and its objective is to intercept and destroy low altitude air threats.
