The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to begin the NEET UG 2026 registration process soon, possibly within this week. Once live, candidates can apply only through the official website — neet.nta.nic.in. As per the exam calendar trend, NEET UG 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on May 3.

Exam Date Follows Previous Year Pattern

NEET UG has consistently been held on the first Sunday of May in recent years. In 2025, the exam took place on May 4, while in 2024 and 2023, it was conducted on May 5 and May 7 respectively. Following the same pattern, NEET UG 2026 is also planned for early May.

Aadhaar Update Advisory Issued by NTA

Earlier this year, on January 5, NTA released an official notice asking candidates to update their Aadhaar details. The agency clarified that updated Aadhaar credentials will help in smooth verification, easier registration, and maintaining the integrity of the examination process.

NEET UG 2026 Syllabus Already Released

To help aspirants prepare in advance, NTA uploaded the official NEET UG 2026 syllabus on January 10. Candidates are advised to go through the syllabus carefully and align their preparation strategy accordingly.
