Ram Charan Film Peddi Sets Big Pre Release Record in Overseas Market
Ram Charan’s Peddi overseas rights sold for over Rs 40 crore ahead of April 30, 2026 release.
Telugu superstar Ram Charan's upcoming film Peddi is already proving to be a massive draw in the pre-release business. As per the latest trade reports, the overseas theatrical rights of the film have been sold for 40–42 crore, marking one of the biggest overseas deals for a Telugu film.
The deal reflects the strong confidence distributors have in the film's box office potential, especially in key overseas markets like the USA, UK, and Australia, where Ram Charan enjoys a solid fan base. As per Track Tollywood, the USA breakeven alone is estimated at around $6.5 million, while the overall overseas breakeven could touch $9 million.
The impressive overseas sale adds to Peddi's already robust pre-release business. The film has been generating huge buzz across markets, driven by Ram Charan's star power and the strong expectations surrounding the project. Among all films, Peddi's overseas rights are in line with Saaho, which was reportedly sold for 42 crores.
With the overseas rights fetching 40+ crore, Peddi has firmly positioned itself as one of the most anticipated Telugu releases on the global stage. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and also starring Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu, Peddi is scheduled to release on April 30, 2026, in multiple languages.
