Continuing with the mandate of the Uttar Pradesh Government—and under the aegis of the ‘Mission Shakti 5.0’ (Phase II) program dedicated to the safety and awareness of women and girls—Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh , inaugurated two newly constructed Police Pink Booths. These booths, situated at Gaur City-2 (near Mahagun Mywoods Society) and near Eco Village 1 Society (Rise Chowk area), aim to ensure the provision of immediate police assistance to women and girls.

Prior to this initiative, 27 Pink Booths were already operational within the Gautam Buddh Nagar Commissionerate; with the operationalization of these two new booths today, the total number of functional Pink Booths in the

Commissionerate has now reached 29. These Pink Booths have been strategically established in locations characterized by high footfall and frequent movement of women.

The primary objective of these Police Pink Booths is to provide immediate police assistance to women in need. These booths are exclusively staffed by female police personnel, ensuring that women approaching with complaints do not experience any hesitation or discomfort while articulating their grievances. While Women's Help Desks are already operational at every police station to assist female complainants and victims, the Police Pink Booths have been specifically established with a dedicated focus on the safety and empowerment of women.

During the event, Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh addressed the women and girls present at the venue, encouraging them to approach the Police Pink Booths without any hesitation to register their complaints. At the Pink Booths, women can access prompt police assistance and have their grievances resolved. Police Commissioner Smt. Laxmi Singh distributed study materials—including bags, books, water bottles, and tiffin boxes—to all the children present at the venue.

Under the aegis of 'Mission Shakti 5.0,' female police personnel are actively patrolling all police station jurisdictions on a daily basis. They visit various residential societies, schools, corporate offices, metro stations, bus stands, and crowded public areas to raise awareness among women regarding self-defense and cyber security. As part of this women's empowerment campaign, in addition to providing information on crimes committed against women, awareness is being generated regarding various government-run initiatives aimed at ensuring safety, dignity, and self-reliance—such as 'Mission Shakti 5.0' (Phase II), the 'Shubh Mangal Yojana,' and resources related to cybercrime and cyber security.

Furthermore, women and female students are regularly apprised of key helpline numbers, including the Women's Helpline (1090), Emergency Services (112), Child Helpline (1098), One Stop Centre (181), Chief Minister's Helpline (1076), and the Cyber Helpline (1930).
