Virat Kohli: Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli, who has retired from Test and T20I formats, has made a major decision. He is set to play in a major domestic tournament after 16 years. Amid the ongoing ODI series against South Africa, Kohli provided a significant update to Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA). He announced his return to List A domestic cricket, which is significant news for Delhi and Indian cricket fans.

Virat Kohli's Big Decision
Virat Kohli has agreed to wear the Delhi jersey in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, which begins on December 24th. DDCA President Rohan Jaitley told a media house, that Virat Kohli has confirmed his availability to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Kohli last played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in February 2010 against Services, meaning he is returning to List A domestic cricket after nearly 16 years.

Kohli, now 37, retired from Test cricket this year and from T20 Internationals after winning the 2024 World Cup. Currently, he is only part of the Indian team in the ODI format. He made this decision to maintain his form and fitness. The BCCI also wants Team India players to play domestic cricket. Meanwhile, his explosive unbeaten 135-run innings in the first ODI against South Africa in Ranchi once again proved that age is just a number, and King Kohli is still at his prime.

Rohan Jaitley told to a news agency, "Virat Kohli has confirmed his availability to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, having him around will be a huge boost to the Delhi dressing room." Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, who retired from Test cricket before the England tour, is also expected to be a part of the team.
