Indian Navy on November 1,Wednesday successfully tested Brahmos Missile supersonic cruise Missile in the Bay of Bengal. The Eastern Command of Indian Navy undertook the task in Bay of Bengal. The Indian Navy reached all the parameters of BrahMos during the test-firing. This test-firing was part of ongoing efforts to ensure readiness for blue-water operations and to counter potential threats from the Chinese Navy. The Indian Navy had previously conducted test-firings of extended-range BrahMos missiles, showcasing their versatility and effectiveness. The test-firing took place from the R-class destroyer ship, along with its indigenously developed potent weapon systems, emphasizing India's commitment to self-reliance (AatmaNirbharta).
