ISRO launches ESA's PROBA-3, this will solve mysteries of the Sun
PROBA-3 mission has been successfully launched with the PSLV-C59 rocket. This rocket carried two satellites with it which will study the Sun's corona.
PROBA-3 Mission: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has launched the PROBA-3 mission. This launch took place on Thursday at 4:04 pm from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. PROBA-3 is the solar mission of the European Space Agency ESA, which will explore the mysteries of the Sun. Earlier, the first solar mission of this series was launched by ISRO in 2001. Rocket carried two satellites with it which will study the Sun's corona along with coordinating with each other. Earlier this mission was to be launched on Wednesday, but it was postponed due to a sudden technical fault in the spacecraft. Both the satellites going with the mission will gather information about the Sun's corona while coordinating with each other. The mission will also find out about the heat of the sun, solar storms etc. Apart from this, it will also provide information about space weather. This mission will be for two years.
