Pakistan violates ceasefire along LoC for 8th consecutive day, Indian Army responds

Tension has increased on the Line of Control (LoC) since the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Pakistan is repeatedly violating the ceasefire. Pakistan has violated the ceasefire for the eighth consecutive day on the Line of Control (LoC). On the intervening night of 01 and 02 May, the Pakistani Army fired small arms without provocation from posts across the Line of Control in front of Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Nowshera and Akhnoor areas of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian Army soldiers have given a befitting reply in a balanced and proportionate manner against this nefarious act of Pakistan. Earlier, on the intervening night of 30 April and 01 May, Pakistani army posts fired with small arms without provocation across the Line of Control in front of Kupwara, Uri and Akhnoor in Jammu and Kashmir. Ceasefire was also violated on 28-29 April

Earlier, on the sixth and fifth nights also, the Pakistani Army violated the ceasefire and fired on the Line of Control. On the night of 28-29 April, the Pakistani Army fired in Kupwara and Baramulla and Akhnoor sectors. On the fourth night also, the Pakistani Army violated the ceasefire and fired. While the night of 27 April, Pakistani army posts fired with small arms without provocation across the Line of Control.To which the Indian Army responded effectively.

India's action on Pakistan after Pahalgam

In view of the cross-border relations after the Pahalgam attack, India announced a number of punitive measures last Wednesday, including suspending the 65-year-old Indus Water Treaty, closing the Attari land border crossing and expelling the Pakistani military attache.

New Delhi has directed all Pakistanis entering the country through the Attari border to leave the country by May 1. In response, Pakistan on Thursday announced the closure of its airspace for all Indian airlines and suspension of trade with New Delhi, including third countries.
