Sindhudurg fort will witness Navy Day celebrations, PM Modi to attend the event
December 4 is celebrated as Indian Navy Day every year in honor of the heroic efforts of the country's naval force. This year, the Navy Day celebration will be held at Sindhudurg Fort, situated on the western coast of the country, 450 kilometers away from Mumbai in Maharashtra. The fort is located in the middle of the sea in Malvan, surrounded by water on all sides. Sindhudurg Fort served as the headquarters of the navy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The Indian Navy will undertake the demonstration of operational capabilities and powers through various ships and aircraft. The event will be graced by Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff. According to the official press release, "The event will witness participation of 20 warships along with 40 aircraft."
