'Article 370 should be restored' proposal tabled in the J&K assembly, uproar over CM statement

First session of the newly elected assembly in Jammu and Kashmir began on Monday with the introduction of a proposal opposing the removal of Article 370 and restoration of the special status of the Valley. Though PDP MLA Waheed Rehman Para presented a proposal to remove the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and Article 370. BJP MLAs opposed this. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that the decision of 5 August 2019 is not acceptable to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. While today is the first day of the session of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. After this, there was uproar in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly when Pulwama MLA Waheed Para presented a proposal to remove Article 370 and restore the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. The uproar started in the assembly after the BJP demanded the removal of the comment and rejection of the proposal. Meanwhile addressing the assembly, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that the reality is that the people of Jammu and Kashmir do not accept the decision taken on August 5, 2019. If they had accepted it, today's results would have been different. How the House will consider and discuss it is not decided by any one member. CM Omar Abdullah said that if there was any purpose behind it, they would have discussed it with us first. It is worth mentioning that restoration of Article 370 and implementation of the statehood and autonomy resolution of Jammu and Kashmir was one of the main promises made by the National Conference in its election manifesto.

Mehbooba lauds resolution
Although the PDP Mehbooba Mufti wrote in a post on Instagram that I am proud of Waheed Parra for introducing a resolution in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly to oppose the removal of Article 370 and restore special status.CM Omar Abdullah said this
The Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah said that the resolution was introduced only for the cameras and has no real significance. He said that if there was any real intention behind the resolution, it should have been discussed with the National Conference.
