Delhi News: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked during the weekly public hearing on Wednesday. This incident took place during the public hearing at the Chief Minister's residence. Meanwhile the accused has been taken into custody. According to the officials of the Chief Minister's residence, when the CM was conducting a public hearing, at that time a person reached there with his complaint. During this, he slapped the Chief Minister. The person has been taken into custody. The accused has been taken to the Civil Lines Police Station. The accused is a resident of Rajkot. He is 41 years old. According to Home Ministry sources, Delhi Police has informed the Home Ministry about the attack on the Chief Minister of Delhi. Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar also said that a person reached CM Gupta on the pretext of public hearing. He first gave some papers to the CM, then started shouting and slapped her. However, the Delhi BJP president has denied slapping the Delhi CM. The AAP Party has condemned the attack on Chief Minster. Aam Aadmi Party leader Anurag Dhanda said that Delhi Police is investigating the matter. Our party has a clear stand on such matters. Deputy Commissioner of Police has reached the Chief Minister's residence and is investigating the matter. On this incident, former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi said that the attack on Delhi CM is condemnable. In a democracy, there is a place for dissent and protest but there is no place for violence. Hopefully, the Chief Minister is completely safe.
