A similar situation was witnessed in Madhubani, where the crowd gathered to see their favorite artist at an election rally was so large that the situation spiraled out of control. The crowd broke hundreds of chairs and damaged the pandal, which had cost lakhs of rupees. Police had to resort to lathi charge to control the angry crowd.
