Clash between BJP and TMC leaders on Waqf bill, TMC Kalyan Banerjee injured

Though a clash broke out between Trinamool Congress leader Kalyan Banerjee and BJP MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay in the meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) regarding the Waqf Bill. Kalyan Banerjee has been injured in this clash.

Clash between BJP and TMC leaders in Waqf meeting

During a fierce clash between the two leaders in the JPC meeting, Kalyan Banerjee broke a glass bottle of water, which injured his hand. Due to this, he got four stitches on his hand. Due to this clash, the meeting was stopped for a while. Eyewitnesses say that Kalyan Banerjee suddenly picked up the bottle and broke it on the table. Due to this, he himself got hurt.

Reason for the clash

All though this incident taken place, when the Waqf Board meeting was going on. The dispute between the leaders of both the sides escalated over political issues, leading to a scuffle.

TMC leader got injury

During the clash, Kalyan Banerjee suffered an injury in his hand. He was given first aid, and his condition is said to be stable.
