Delhi gets new police Commissioner day after attack on CM Rekha Gupta
According to an order issued by the Home Ministry today on Thursday, senior IPS officer Satish Golcha has been appointed as the 26th Commissioner of Delhi Police.
Delhi Gets New Police Commissioner: The national capital police have got its full time Police Commissioner. Senior Indian Police Service officer Satish Golcha has been made the new Police Commissioner today on Thursday. Earlier, SBK Singh was made the Police Commissioner, but he could hold the post of Commissioner for only 20 days. He was removed within 30 hours of the attack on CM Rekha Gupta. 1992 batch IPS Golcha has replaced SBK Singh, who took additional charge as Commissioner after his predecessor Sanjay Arora retired on 31 July. He assumed this charge on May 1, 2024 last year, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police of Delhi from the date of assuming charge till further orders.
