Gen-Z on the Streets of Jaipur to Save the Aravalli Hills, Protesting with Torches in Hand

In Jaipur, Gen-Z youth held a torchlight procession to protest and demand the protection of the Aravalli mountain range. They marched from Rambagh to Amar Jawan Jyoti, protesting against environmentally harmful decisions.

Gen-Z on the Streets of Jaipur:  On Wednesday night, Gen-Z youth took to the streets of Jaipur in a powerful protest to save the city's environment and air quality. A large number of young people, carrying torches and filled with anger, demanded the protection of the Aravalli mountain range. The torchlight procession started from Rambagh and ended at Amar Jawan Jyoti, openly protesting against the decisions being made against the environment.
The youth also threw fake currency notes and burned copies of the order to send a message against greed for money.

After the procession, the protesters expressed their anger by burning copies of the order. They also symbolically threw fake currency notes to convey the message that the exploitation of nature for monetary gain will no longer be tolerated.

Gen-Z Takes to the Streets to Save the Aravalli Hills

Kartikeya Bhardwaj, a Gen-Z representative participating in the protest, said that it is time for the youth of Jaipur to wake up. He said that Dhol ka Bagh has already been destroyed, and now the Aravalli mountain range is being targeted. This is a direct attack on people's right to breathe clean air.

Playing with the Health of Future Generations in the Name of Pollution and Reckless Deforestation

Kartikeya Bhardwaj warned that they will not allow the health of future generations and families to be compromised in the name of pollution and reckless deforestation. He said that the Aravalli is not just a mountain range, but the lifeline of Jaipur. If it is harmed, future generations will have to pay a heavy price. He made it clear that if the activities against the Aravalli do not stop, the movement will be intensified.
