Jammu and Kashmir: National Conference wins 3, BJP 1 in Rajya Sabha polls

Jammu and Kashmir: After the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019, the state was divided into two union territories. This is the first Rajya Sabha election held in Jammu and Kashmir since then. The results of the elections for four Rajya Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir have been announced. Rajya Sabha election results announced

Chaudhary Mohammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, and Shami Oberoi of the National Conference won the elections, while Sat Sharma of the BJP won the fourth seat. Sat Sharma received 32 votes. Elections for these four seats were held on Friday.
