Greater Noida Police arrested a marijuana smuggler near Dankaur Railway Station. 950 grams of marijuana was recovered from the accused. The police took this action on Friday based on a tip-off.
The arrested accused has been identified as Rauf, a resident of Mandapa village in the Dankaur Kotwali area. According to police, Rauf sold marijuana to passengers and others around the railway station.
The Kotwali police stated that the accused had been involved in marijuana smuggling for several months. During interrogation, he admitted to his involvement in the illegal trade
The police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections and presented him in court, where he was sent to jail in judicial custody. Kotwali in-charge Munendra Singh stated that the accused's other associates are being searched for and the entire network will soon be exposed.
