The central government on Thursday replaced the governors and lieutenant governors in several states and union territories. New lieutenant governors (LGs) and governors have been appointed in Delhi, Ladakh, Bihar, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana. Taranjit Singh Sandhu is set to be appointed the new LG of Delhi. Vinay Kumar Saxena has been transferred from Delhi to Ladakh. Syed Ata Hasnain has been appointed governor of Bihar.
Who has been assigned where?
Shiv Pratap Shukla: Shiv Pratap Shukla, former Governor of Himachal Pradesh, has been transferred to Telangana. He previously served as Minister of State for Finance in the central government and has extensive experience in Uttar Pradesh politics. His appointment will play a crucial role in maintaining constitutional norms and overseeing development projects in a rapidly developing state like Telangana.

Nand Kishore Yadav: Nand Kishore Yadav, a veteran BJP leader and former minister in Bihar, has been appointed Governor of Nagaland. Yadav has been a multiple-time MLA and has held important portfolios such as road construction.
Retired Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain: Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain, a former Indian Army officer, has been appointed Governor of Bihar. General Hasnain is considered a strategic expert and has extensive experience working in areas like Kashmir. He has also served in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
RN Ravi: Former Governor of Tamil Nadu, RN Ravi, has been appointed to West Bengal. Kavinder Gupta: Kavinder Gupta, former Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Ladakh, has now become the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. He has been appointed to replace Shiv Pratap Shukla.
