Union Minister for Jal Shakti C.R. Patil, reviewed progress of the Varuna River Rejuvenation Programme
The completion of these projects will provide a strong foundation for sewage management in the city, reduce untreated wastewater flowing into the Ganga.
During his visit to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh today, Union Minister for Jal Shakti, C.R. Patil, reviewed the progress of the Varuna River Rejuvenation Programme and related projects at Lohta. He also inspected the 55 MLD STP at Bhagwanpur, which is set to become operational soon.
The completion of these projects will provide a strong foundation for sewage management in the city, reduce untreated wastewater flowing into the Ganga, and further strengthen the goal of a clean and uninterrupted Ganga. Reviewing the progress of the work, he directed officials to ensure timely and quality implementation.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the 'Namami Gange' mission is not just a project, but a commitment to faith, responsibility, and nation-building towards Mother Ganga.
