Mohan Bhagwat: The third day of the RSS centenary year celebrations was of questions and answers. During this, many questions were asked. Sangh Pramukh Mohan Bhadwat answered all the questions. One of these questions was how does the Sangh see the challenge of preserving culture and traditions in the age of technology and modernization? In response to this, the Sarsanghchalak said that there is no opposition to technology and modernity with education.

No opposition to technology and modernity

He said that as the knowledge of man increases, new technology comes. But the ill effects of it should be avoided. Technology should remain the slave of man, man should not become the slave of technology. Therefore education is necessary. Bhagwat said that education is not just about memorizing information. Its purpose is to make a person cultured.

But etiquettes are necessary

He said that the new education policy has a provision for Panchkoshi education i.e. five-level holistic education. The Sarsanghchalak said that the education of our country became extinct or was made extinct many years ago. New education was created to rule this country. But today we are independent, so there is a need for education that can instill pride in terms of the welfare of the people and not just to run the state.

Bhagwat said that such an effort has been made in the new education policy in the last few years. I have heard that some work has been done and some is going to be done. He further said that I have heard that nowadays drinking etiquettes are taught in jobs, those who work in the field of foreign service.
