'No stone is being left unturned to provide help', PM expresse condolences over Uttarakhand cloudburst

A cloudburst in Dharali village of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on Tuesday caused a massive flood, in which at least four people have died so far. According to officials, ten to twelve people may be trapped under the debris and more than 20 hotels and homestays have been washed away.

PM Modi has expressed condolences over this tragedy

The Prime Minister wrote on the social media platform 'X' "I express my condolences to the people affected by this tragedy in Uttarkashi. Along with this, I wish well to all the victims. I have talked to Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami ji and got information about the situation. Relief and rescue teams are making every possible effort under the supervision of the state government. No stone is being left unturned to provide help to the people.

“Along with PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also expressed concern over the incident and ordered help. The Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote, "Talked to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand regarding the incident of flash flood in Dharali (Uttarkashi) of Uttarakhand and got information about the incident. The nearest 3 teams of ITBP have been sent there, as well as 4 teams of NDRF have also been dispatched to the spot, which will also engage in rescue work."

Opposition Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter, "Death of many people and due to the devastation caused by cloudburst in Dharali, Uttarakhand is extremely sad and worrying. I express my deepest condolences to the affected families and hope to find the missing people as soon as possible. I appeal to the administration to speed up relief and rescue operations. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi also expressed grief over the incident. CM wrote on Instagram, "Unfortunate incident of cloudburst in Dharali is extremely sad and heart-breaking. I pray to Lord Badri Vishal ji for the safety of the people affected in this accident."
