Pune land deal scam: The investigation report into the controversial ₹300 crore land deal in Maharashtra has finally been released. A three-member committee of the Joint Inspector General of Registration (IGR) has held three individuals, including Sub-Registrar Ravindra Taru, responsible for the alleged sale of government land in Mundhwa, Pune, to a private company and the granting of a substantial stamp duty discount. The government has also issued a notice to the company concerned seeking a response within seven days for the recovery of ₹42 crore in stamp duty. The report stated that Parth Pawar's name did not appear in any of the documents, so he was not held responsible. A senior official told the news agency, "Since Parth Pawar's name does not appear anywhere in the entire sale deed, he cannot be held responsible in the investigation." The report holds three people directly involved in the deal responsible, including suspended Sub-Registrar Ravindra Taru.
