Harjinder Singh Dhami Resigns: SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami (Harjinder Singh Dhami Resigns) has resigned from his post. He has sent this resignation to the SGPC executive. The reason for Dhami's resignation is said to be the comment made by Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghvir Singh on the wrongful removal of Giani Harpreet Singh. SGPC chief resigns from his post

SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami has resigned from the post due to religious controversy. He said that if I have made any mistake, I apologize to everyone. In the meanwhile, the SGPC recently removed Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh of Takht Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo from the post. Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh has opposed the removal of Giani Harpreet Singh from the post. Although now Harjinder Singh Dhami has resigned.

Resigned for this reason

He said that morally the SGPC has full right to investigate the cases of Singh Sahiban but because Giani Raghvir Singh has objected by saying that the SGPC has no right to hold a meeting of Singh Sahiban, he is morally resigning from his post. He has sent this resignation to the SGPC Executive.

Harjinder Singh Dhami became president for the fourth time

Harjinder Singh Dhami was elected SGPC president for the fourth time in October 2024.
