Meanwhile political battle has once again erupted on the issue of pollution in the country's capital Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has blamed the neighboring states for the pollution. However at the same time, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has retaliated to Atishi's allegations and said that the Aam Aadmi Party has a habit of lying and blaming others for its mistakes. Though , if we talk about the figures, there has been an increase in incidents of stubble burning in Punjab-Haryana. Along with this, a big increase in air pollution is expected in Delhi in the coming days, the main reason for which is the incidents of stubble burning in neighboring states

This deteriorating air quality has a serious impact on Delhi's AQI, which is likely to remain the same for the next few days after remaining in the "very poor" category on Monday. The ventilation index and the height of the mixture of gases in the atmosphere are expected to increase, which theoretically aids in the rapid dispersion of pollutants. However, these improvements may not be enough to balance the significant pollution load from stubble burning. Interestingly, the wind is blowing predominantly from the east – a pattern that historically contributed to reducing pollution from stubble burning, yet the overall air quality has deteriorated. This indicates that changes in wind direction, particularly a shift to northwesterly winds, could further increase pollution levels by channelling more smoke from agricultural fires into Delhi.
