Major Pakistani Attack in Kabul, Afghanistan: 400 Dead and 250 Injured in Airstrike
Afghanistan has alleged that Pakistan carried out an airstrike on a drug rehabilitation center in Kabul, resulting in the deaths of 400 people and injuries to 250 others.
The entire world remains deeply concerned due to the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. Consequently, the general public has also been severely affected. Amidst this broader conflict, tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan are escalating. For several days now, both nations have been engaging in a continuous exchange of attacks against one another. Afghanistan has alleged that Pakistan conducted an airstrike on a hospital late Monday night. The Taliban has claimed that these attacks have resulted in 400 fatalities.
The Taliban condemned the act as a crime against humanity, while Pakistan has categorically denied the allegations.
Hamdullah Fitrat, the Deputy Spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, stated that the Pakistani military carried out a bombing raid on a drug rehabilitation center in Kabul last night. Following the bombardment, the death toll has now risen to 400, while the number of injured individuals has reached 250.
Afghan Deputy Government Spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat noted that the attack, which took place on Monday night, destroyed a significant section of the hospital. He confirmed that the death toll currently stands at 400, with reports indicating that another 250 people have sustained injuries. Fitrat added that rescue teams are currently working to extinguish the fire raging within the building and to recover the bodies of the victims.
Pakistan Rejects the Allegations
These attacks on Afghanistan have claimed the lives of hundreds of people. The Taliban has asserted that these strikes were executed by Pakistan and further declared that such attacks constitute crimes against humanity.
However, Pakistan has completely rejected these claims made by the Taliban. Pakistani officials and political leaders have issued statements asserting that they did not target any hospital. Pakistan asserts that no civilian sites were damaged during the strikes it conducted on Monday in Kabul and other parts of eastern Afghanistan.
Tensions Between the Two Nations Persist for Days
The tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan has been ongoing for quite some time. Both nations have been launching attacks against one another. These attacks have claimed the lives of hundreds of people so far. This marks the second major attack in Afghanistan within the span of a single week. The conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan began on February 22, when Pakistan carried out airstrikes in Afghanistan's border regions.
Cricketer Rashid Khan has also expressed his outrage regarding the attacks on Afghanistan. Sharing videos of the strikes on the social media platform X, he has called upon the UN to intervene in the matter.
