Vaishno Devi Tragedy: Manoj Sinha announced compensation to the families of the deceased
Jammu has been disrupted due to floods and landslides caused by heavy rains. 32 people have died and many have been injured due to landslide on Vaishno Devi Marg. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir met the injured on Wednesday and announced compensation.
Vaishno Devi Tragedy: Life in Jammu has been disrupted due to heavy rains, floods and landslides. Rivers are in spate due to continuous rain in the state. There is a scene of devastation everywhere. Low-lying areas are flooded. Sevral roads and bridges have been washed away do to this. Meanwhile 32 people have died due to landslide on Vaishno Devi temple route. Many people have been also injured in this accident. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reached Narayana Hospital of Shrine Board located at Kakriyal in Katra to know the condition of the injured in the accident on Vaishno Devi Marg. He said, there is a danger on this side which we have not been able to understand properly. A team will have to be put to work to find out why there was damage on this side in 2014 and again today. Measures will have to be taken so that this does not happen again. Whenever there is heavy rain, houses located on the river bank will always be in danger.
