The President said, "Parliament has taken a major and historic step towards women's empowerment by eliminating the social evil of triple talaq. GST is the biggest tax reform since independence, strengthening the country's economic unity." During the ceremony, he also read the Preamble of the Constitution.President said, "Abolishing triple talaq is a historic step."
