Champions Trophy's 'jersey controversy' takes a new turn, ICC shocking response to BCCI's action

BCCI Removes Pakistan Name India Jersey: India and Pakistan are once again face to face on the Champions Trophy. Actually, according to some media reports, BCCI had refused to write the name of the host country Pakistan on Team India's jersey for the Champions Trophy. Now the International Cricket Council (ICC) has put forward its reaction in this regard and rejected all such claims.

Citing a Pakistani media organization, ICC sources said that it is the responsibility of the state or country to put the tournament's logo/emblem on their jersey. All teams have to follow this rule. ICC had clearly rejected the rumors which claimed that BCCI refused to write Pakistan's name on their team's jersey. It was also told that any team that violates this rule can face strict action. Not only ICC but sources from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have also informed that the news of removing the name Pakistan from Team India's jersey is baseless. Even a PCB official has not contacted anyone in this regard.
