Congress's allegation of rigging in Haryana elections rejected, EC replied in 1600-page
Congress had made many allegations regarding Haryana assembly elections. Complaints were made to Election Commission about EVM tampering and not allowing voting at booths. But now, about 20 days after the counting of votes, Election Commission has given a reply to each allegation in 1600 pages. The Election Commission rejected Congress' allegations about irregularities in Haryana elections as baseless. The Election Commission issued a statement on Tuesday and warned the Congress and other political parties against making baseless and sensational complaints at sensitive times like polling and counting days. The Commission said that irresponsible allegations can cause unrest and chaos among the public. Meanwhile Congress had made 26 complaints in Haryana elections. Election Commission rejected those allegations of irregularities as baseless. Returning officers of 26 assembly constituencies verify it again. The response of Election Commission officials on Congress' complaints was included in the 1600-page reply. Apart from this, the Congress had accused the Commission of serious and clear irregularities in the election process in 20 assembly constituencies in Haryana. Congress had said that complaints against Congress candidates came from Narnaul, Karnal, Dabwali, Rewari, Hodal (SC), Kalka, Panipat City, Indri, Badkhal, Faridabad NIT, Nalwa, Rania, Pataudi (SC), Palwal, Ballabhgarh, These include those seats from where the party candidates have lost the elections by a narrow margin and Haryana Congress President Uday Bhan is also among the complainants.
