GRAP-4 implemented amid deteriorating conditions due to pollution in Delhi

GRAP 4 Implemented:  The fourth phase of GRAP has come into effect in Delhi-NCR. In view of the rising air pollution, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) sub-committee on Sunday, said that it will implement Stage-IV GRAP in the entire NCR region from 8 am on 18 November. The breathing crisis in Delhi deepens day by day. The situation is constantly going out of control due to pollution. Due to this, the restrictions imposed in Delhi have been made more stringent now. Restrictions are going to be implemented in Delhi under GRAP 4.

Fourth phase of GRAP has come into effect in Delhi-NCR

During the fourth phase of GRAP, entry of trucks into Delhi will be banned except for trucks carrying essential goods. LNG, CNG, electric, BS-VI diesel trucks will be allowed. On Sunday, the capital recorded an AQI of 441, making it the second most polluted city in the country.

AQI has crossed 450 in many areas

 Although GRAP 4 will be implemented in the capital from Monday (November 18) due to poor air quality. Due to this, construction work will be completely stopped. Also, entry of big vehicles will be banned. CAQM has issued an order to implement GRAP 4 in entire Delhi-NCR from 08:00 am. With its implementation, many restrictions will be imposed.

These things will be banned

Entry of truck traffic into Delhi will remain closed (except trucks carrying essential goods/providing essential services). However, all LNG/CNG/electric/BS-VI diesel trucks will be allowed. LCVs registered outside Delhi, other than EVs/CNG/BS-VI diesel, will not be allowed to enter Delhi, except vehicles carrying essential goods/providing essential services. Ban on demolition just like Grape Phase 3 NCR state governments can also opt for online mode for classes 6th to 9th and 11th in schools. NCR state governments and GNCTD will decide on allowing public, municipal and private offices to function at 50% capacity and the rest to work from home. Central government can take appropriate decision regarding allowing employees in central government offices to work from home. State governments can consider additional emergency measures like closing colleges and institutes and implementing odd-even can be considered.       .
