PM expressed grief over Jalgaon train accident, know how much compensation announced

More than a dozen people have lost their lives in the train accident in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Everyone is shocked by this accident. The Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over this accident. Let us tell you that due to the rumor of fire in Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Express train in Jalgaon district, many passengers jumped from the train. PM Modi has posted on X regarding the Jalgaon train accident. He wrote- "I am saddened by the tragic accident on the railway tracks in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.

How much compensation will the Railways give?

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has also condoled the death of 13 passengers due to being hit by a train in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra and expressed condolences to their families.

According to the information received from the Railway Minister's office, a compensation of Rs 1.5 lakh each has been announced to the families of the deceased in the Jalgaon train accident, Rs 50,000 to the seriously injured and Rs 5,000 to those with minor injuries.

CM Fadnavis also announced compensation

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also condoled the Jalgaon train accident and announced compensation to the families of the deceased. Fadnavis has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the passengers killed in the train accident. Fadnavis, while sending a video message from Davos, Switzerland, said that the state government will bear the entire cost of treatment of the injured passengers.

How did the accident happen?

According to the information received so far, sparks came out from the wheels of the Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Express after applying brakes ahead of the railway station in Jalgaon district. Due to this, there was panic among the passengers. During this time, some passengers pulled the chain. Some passengers jumped from the train onto the tracks. These passengers were crushed by the Karnataka Express train coming from the other side.
